Well, post banging my head on walls with no response and then telling and writing to my father tell all relatives and their kids who have zero idea about how fitbits and garmins and such devices work and going through plenty trouble explaining .... finally decided here it is for those ... rest ignore.
How these obssessed people's gadgets work.
-You go to the store and buy the gadget (like garmin watch ,apple watch , fitbit and many such)
-Post buying it from the store it comes with manual, which tells you how to connect it with your phone and if you need more details you can see you activities on computer too with their set site.
- when you wear a watch for example garmin any model you buy its in your name as you bought it. Then you select from the screen options it provides run , bike swim etc, now all models have many other options or activities to track.
-Suppose you are doing biking , you select bike option if you want you keep GPS, bluetooth on ( then it sync's with your phone, there is app in your phone meant only for you)
-post your activity it records it and then on your device which you have wore it in your hand it saves history of maxx 10 such activities and then syncs to your phone and then to your app.
-All these devices you can access details on your computer too by site they have provided with passwords you have set. Its all yours and no one elses
-So no one should steal your password and go to your site meant for your device and access it on computer and steal your workouts or try changing them.
-These are things some people do not know. Non techie.
Iphone :-
- Knowing the time zones and times in countries. I have iphone so I can speak about it . There is world clock option in that go to the country whose time and date you want to know and add .For me since i stay in USA , i add that and my parents in India I add that to know as we have 12 hours time diff bet us.Besides when you travel to some country or place you can add that temporarily there to know local time there , for those who keep their phone on when travelling they can keep blue tooth on and it will automatically sync, but i keep it off for my reasons .
-When you carry your iphone in your pocket or with you ( in the sense in hand or whatever) Every iphone comes with Health app ( the famous heart symbol - you can customize but ignore ) when You carry your phone with you it automatically records your steps in that, you do not have to edit or do anything. Since its your phone its your health app meant only for you. Same with calender its your phone , its your calender and whatever is there is already there and what you add is you added for reasons .
-Suppose someone tells you you have wait time of 30 minutes etc, you can go to your clock in iphone and set stop watch for 25 minutes giving you buffer of 5 in case. Just like when they said post covid injection wait 15 min for reaction , set timer and sit. when it buzzes you know .
-Same you can go to weather app in your iphone and add country or place whose weather u want to know
